28 March 2008 - live in London and elsewhere

Watch out. The School Of Language's blighty based power trio is getting ready to be unleashed, including performances in Paris, in Brighton at the Great Escape, at the Wychwood and Green Man Festivals plus a one off show with Field Music's other half The Week That Was at London's Luminaire on 16 May.



03 March 2008 - School of Language - US and Canadian Tour

To all you lucky little blighters in around the great continent of North American... ...School of Language is coming to you! Yes, we've given up on Easter and are going to get out into the wilds of the u.s. and canada and spread some serious rock music (along with a bunch of excellent bands, including - pinch me! - Medications in Washington, D.C.!) Not only that, but the School of Language band will feature the inestimable talents of two of Chicago's finest - Doug McCombs (of Tortoise, Eleventh Dream Day and Brokeback) on bass and Ryan Rapsys (of Euphone, Ambulette) on drums. We very much hope to see you out there! Dates to the right.

05 Feb 2008 - Sea From Shore out today

Sea From Shore is out today in the USA on Thrill Jockey and yesterday on Memphis Industries in the UK and Ireland.

The UK iTunes version includes three bonus tracks: Tear Me A Part, No Control and a cover of Roxy Music's If There is Something.

The Bleep version includes two acoustic versions of This is No Fun and Extended Holliday.

There's also a limited edition CD version of album with three extra tracks, No Control, Across the Water and Aposiopesis Remix.

Just in case (like me and all those billions of people who don't have sky or live in manchester) you didn't catch my brief spot on Channel M's City Centre Social show last night, somehow or other it's already up on youtube - even more strangely, I don't look anywhere near as old and as tired as I felt - that's the magic of moving pictures
